Mary Ellen Hill Parish

Mary Ellen Hill Parish Hoffpauir, 95, of Lake Charles, LA. Passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles.
Mary was born in Houston, Tx. on August 28, 1928 to Sam and Ella Hill.
It was almost impossible not to love her. She had a naturally pleasant and loving spirit that will be missed so much.
She was a member of Sovereign Grace Church of Lake Charles and is a true child of Christ and lived everyday to bring him glory. She will see Christ face to face. (2 Cor.). Goodness and mercy have followed her all the days of her life and she dwells in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23). We will not sorrow as those who have no hope. (Thess 13). For we know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Rom 8:1). For it was by grace she was saved, through faith and not of her own self, it is a gift of God. (Eph 2:8) We are saying goodbye to her body but her soul has returned to the God that made her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Cay Duhon (Farrel) and Diane Fruge (Michael), son; Patrick Parish (Sandra), 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
