Mary Faye Ortego

Mary Faye Ortego, 72 of Sulphur passed away on July 4, 2013 surrounded by her family. Mary was a homemaker and the mother of seven children. She was very outgoing, loved to study people and valued time with family and friends. Her philosophy of life was family is important and needed to stay connected, dont be afraid to say I Love You and time is free " use it wisely. Mary was known as Mom to everyone and her faith was very important to her. Mary is survived by six daughters, Vicki Greenwood and husband, Donald, Sherri Kibodeaux and husband, Edward, Debbie Andrus, Kim Ortego and fiance, Laurey Coupel, and Kelly Fontenot and husband, Delson all of Sulphur, Carla Thibodeaux of Lafayette and one son, Darren Ortego and wife, Jill of Walker, LA; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Herman and parents. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 2p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the funeral home from 4-9 pm and will resume on Sunday at 9am until time of the service.
