Mary Katherine Green

Mary Katherine Green, 78, of Sulphur, LA passed away in a local care facility surrounded by her family. She was born on August 14, 1946, in Dry Creek, LA to Trilla and Maurice Cole.

She was a graduate from Delta School of Business. She loved spending her days off with her family and drinking a cup of coffee. She was known for her sassy personality and always making others laugh. Mary also enjoyed cooking and watching Nascar in her down time. She worked at Holloway Sports Factory then on to Turner Industries.

Survivors include daughter, LaVonda Abshire (Francis); daughter in laws, Missy Green, Kim Green Caton; granddaughters, Katie Green, Tori Ellender (Hayden), Olivia Ebersole (Mark), Toni Wilcox (Billy) and Amiee Johnson (Trevor); grandsons, Austin Green, Dustan Abshire (Amiee), Ryan Abshire. The apples of her eye were her great grandsons, Lincoln White, Jeff Ellender and Stetson Ebersole and many other great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Cole; mother, Trilla Nation Cole; brothers, Max Cole and Larry Rea; father of her children, Conrad Green; sons, Tommy Green and Jeff Green.

The Family would like to express a a special thanks to all the staff at High Hope Care Center and Brighton Bridge Hospice. 

Funeral services will be at 11:00 Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Dry Creek Bible Church. Visitation will be from 8:00 AM until time of services on Thursday at Dry Creek Bible Church. Burial will be at Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
