Mary Hooper May Britt

Mary Hooper May Britt, age 63, departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at a local hospital.

Mary was born on April 10, 1947, in Canton, GA, to the late Robert and Ora Hooper. A native of Georgia, she was a resident of Lake Charles. She enjoyed being a homemaker, reading, sewing, working crossword puzzles, and loved all animals, especially her dogs. Mary will always be remembered for her love of family and God.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Kristy May and fiance', Shane Richards of Woodstock, GA; two sisters, Mildred Grogan and Jeanette Garland both of Canton, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Waiting for her in heaven are her two sons, Kelly Travis May and Joseph Scott May, her two brothers, Junior and Eugene Hooper, and her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Jaceson Johnson will officiate.
