Mary Jackie Bryant Mancuso

September 6, 1936 — July 25, 2012

Mary "Jackie" Bryant Mancuso, 75, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 in a local assisted living facility.


Mrs. Mancuso was born in Pine Bluff, AR and has lived fifty-five years in Lake Charles. She retired following forty-two years of service as a Clerk in the shipping department for Olin Petrochemical. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Margaret and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Churches.


Mrs. Mancuso was a very patient, pleasant and likable woman with an friendly, outgoing personality, always having a kind word for anyone.


Mrs. Mancuso will be most remembered as a faithful wife and for the care she gave to her husband.


She leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Laney Lou Moore and husband Roy and Kathy Ann Carroll, both of Pine Bluff, AR; two nephews and her cousin, Jan Tenney and husband John P. of Lake Charles.


She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of forty-nine years, James B. Mancuso.


Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father John Huckaby will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Saturday will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 10:00 AM.


The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to caregivers, Carolyn Primeaux, Andrea Robinson, Stacey Courville, Desiree Hebert and Melody McMahon, the staff of Emeritis Assisted Living, Southern Care Hospice and especially Melanie Sweatt for the excellence in care and compassion.
