Mary Lee Kees

Mary L. Kees, 74, passed away on October 14, 2013 in her residence. Mary was born on April 5, 1939 in Urania, LA, to Phillip and Sara Kinney. She loved to read, watch the hummingbirds, cook, especially gumbo and chili. Her children and grandchildren were very special to her. Mary is survived by her children, Floyd Kees, Jr. Bruce Kees and wife, Stephanie and daughter, Patricia Kees all of Vinton; 4 grandsons, Sterling Keith, Jr., Cody Keith all of Koonze, TX and Austin and Adam Hamilton of Vinton, LA; nieces, DeAnn Soderholm, Michelle Barefield, Julie Isabelle and Georgette Lamprezz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Sara Kinney; her husband of 52 years, Floyd Kees, Sr. and sister, Joyce McCarty. Cremation will be entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will have a memorial service on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, 2161 Edgerly Dequincy Rd., Vinton, La.
