Mary Lois Elliott

Mary Lois Elliott 85 departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at her residence. A resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, arts and craft and crocheting. She is survived by one son, Jessie Kenneth (Linda) Newman of Westlake, La.; one daughter, Norma Jean (Ernest) Broussard of Lake Charles, La.; three sisters, Joyce McComb, Juanita Thibodeaux, and Ruth Jane Trahan of Lake Charles, La.; 13 grandchildren, many beloved great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Derold Ray Newman and Sherman Lee Newman. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Father D.B. Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 11:00AM-9:00PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00PM and Wednesday, April 2, 2014 9:00AM-1:30PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
