Mary Louise LeBleu, 98, passed away on May 2, 2024 in a local care facility.
She was born on April 8, 1926 to Freddie and Eunice Bolotte Bertrand.
Mary, who was affectionately known as “Moosie” to her family and friends, will be remembered as a perfect seamstress and an excellent cook. She loved tending to her plants and was passionate about her family. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven for many years and served in the Catholic Daughters for 70+ years.
She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her three children, Linda Stanley, Ronald LeBleu (Gwen), and Dianna Boese (Jim); 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren (and one expected); and brothers, Jerald Bertrand and Steward Bertrand.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren LeBleu; infant son, Anthony Gene; and her parents.
Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 1 p.m. Fr. Samuel Bond will officiate. Burial will take place at Consolata Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 11 a.m.
The family would like to express their gratitude for all the kindness and compassion to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Lafayette General Trauma ICU and Harbor Hospice, Lake Charles.
The outpouring of care, love, and assistance from family and friends is sincerely appreciated. All of your prayers have been our strength and comfort during this time. May God forever bless and keep each one of you in his care.
