Mary Ogea Thistrup

Mary Ogea Thistrup, 92, of Choupique went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Cornerstone Hospital. She was born on September 27, 1920 in Welsh, LA and was a faithful member of Choupique Baptist Church. Her loving heart touched the lives of all who knew her. Survivors include her children; Wilson (Kathy) Thistrup of Westlake, Wilton Buddy Thistrup and Marie of DeRidder, Gilbert (B.J.) Thistrup of Selma, AL, Mary Ann (Harold) Hoelzer of Choupique, Rosalie Thistrup of Sulphur, Anita (Roland Jr.) LeBrun of Choupique, Theresa Pruitt of DeQuincy, and Ann (Jerry) LeBrun of Carlyss. She is also survived by her two sons-in-law, Gene Broussard and Matt Matthews and daughter-in-law, Misti Thistrup, and brothers, Julius, Leroy, and Francis Ogea and numerous grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Thistrup, and children, Easter Mae Broussard, Jimmy Thistrup, and Linda Matthews. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Reggie Ogea, Bro. Nay Vickers, and Dr. David Holder will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, and continue from 8:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday in the funeral home.
