Mary Dasch, 68, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Lafayette, raised in Jennings and has been in Sulphur over the past 40 years. Mary loved to play bingo. She loved cats and dogs. Mary loved spending time with the family but mostly her grandchildren. She was of the Lutheran faith and was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jennings. Mary is survived by her son, Chris Young and his wife Kathy of Sulphur; her daughter, Darlene Young Schroeder of Lake Charles; her grandchildren, Stephen, Timothy, Sarah, Rachel, Megan, Caleb, Lauren, Keli, Hailey, Leah and Allison; great grandchildren Timothy, Zachary, Trinity, Illyanna, Ryan, Anthony, Cayden, Mason, Maddox and Liam; two brothers, Lionel “Googie” Dasch and Thomas E. Dasch; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Lionel Dasch; her mother, Mary Richard; the father of her children, Ernest James Young; one son, Henry Young, two grandchildren, Justin Brock Young and Elizabeth Young, 2 great grandchildren, and significant others, Tophile “Nonkie” Picard and Arthur Broussard. Services for Mary will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 11 am at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 4-9 pm at the funeral home and will resume on Tuesday from 8 am until the time of service.
