Mary T. O'Carroll

Mary Teresa O'Carroll, 59, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013.

Miss O'Carroll was born September 12, 1953 in Fairfield, CA to Peter Joseph O'Carroll and Florence Theresa Stanton O'Carroll. She lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She was a graduate of St. Louis Catholic High School, attained Nurses Aide Certification and worked many years as a volunteer at Women and Children's Hospital. Miss O'Carroll was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and enjoyed being active in their Singles Group. She was also an active in Woman Children's Senior Circle and TOPS for nearly twenty years having formerly been the Secretary for Chapter # 0458. Miss O'Carroll was most proud of her Irish heritage, as she loved every moment of her two trips visiting Ireland.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers, Peter J. O'Carroll, Jr. and wife Mary Ellen of Lake Charles; Patrick S. O'Carroll of Gainesville, FL and Michael K. O'Carroll and wife Mara of Loveland, CO; nieces and nephews, Dr. Peter J. O'Carroll, III, Erin O'Carroll Nickel, Jennifer O'Carroll Friday, Jessica O'Carroll Hall, John O'Carroll and Caitlin Snider, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, September 02, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Gatherings of friends Sunday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a scripture service beginning at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM in the funeral home.
