Marylin Mayzell Redd McCombs passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 17, 2024 at Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
She was born on November 20, 1941 to Stuart and Bertha Redd. Marylin spent her childhood in Pineville, Louisiana before moving to Lake Charles at a young age. She met her husband Richard through her brother Bobby in high school. Marylin owned and operated a Beltone Hearing franchise then later changed to Audibel. She worked in the hearing-aid business for over 50 years. Marylin was known as “Nonny” for the second half of her life. To her friends, she was a faithful voice who listened and advised with kindness. To her family, she was a selfless, caring, and compassionate matriarch. She will be missed by all.
Marylin is survived by her children Kristi Rials (Randal) and Kathy Bihm; her grandchildren Richard Rials (Tarrah), Robin Rials, Katelin Roberts (Kyle), Hunter Bihm (Meiah), and Kamryn Bihm; her great-grandchildren Brandi Simmons, Randi Mulvihill, Anna Mulvihill, Jackson Mulvihill, Jenna Rials, Jude Rials, and Caroline Widgeon; and her sister Pat Lowery (Steve).
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard McCombs, brothers Robert Redd and David Redd, and her great-grandsons Justin Rials and Malachi Roberts.
Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 1 p.m., Rev. Richard Rials will officiate. Burial will take place following the service at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the start of the service.
