Matthew Robert “Matt” Sadler, 39, of Sulphur, LA went to be with the Lord and his precious dog, Lilly on July 7, 2021. Those who truly knew him, knew that although on the outside he was rough and tough, on the inside was a gentle soul. He was full of love, even if he didn’t know how to show it all the time. Matt wore many hats in the electrical industry and was a dedicated and hard worker. He would help anyone who needed it and after Hurricane Laura helped many set up generators at no cost to them. Matt loved his friends and family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them, even if it was just playing video games, barbecuing or brewing or having a few beers with his friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, of 8 years, Samantha Sadler. His mother, Phyllis Sadler of Sulphur, LA and father, Robert Sadler (Elaine) of Colmesneil, TX. Older brother, Shannon Bordelon (Leila) of Lake Charles; younger sister, Nicole Porter (Trevor) of Sulphur; stepbrother, Jeremy Labath of Beaumont, TX and stepsister, Kacie Thibodeaux of Sulphur, LA; three nieces, Kaylee Bordelon of Lake Charles, Alys Hebert-Porter and Bekah Porter both of Sulphur and one great-nephew Graeson Davis of Lake Charles. He also leaves behind his two beloved dogs, Dakoda and Luna.
We pray that he is at peace in the Lords arms with his precious Lilly by his side.
Memorial services will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in the Fellowship Hall of University Baptist Church. Reverend Jeffery Jackson will officiate. Family and friends will gather to honor Matt's memory from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
