Megan Stanford-Dykes

Megan Ryan Stanford-Dykes, 28, was born on October 24, 1996, in Lake Charles, LA, to Alex, II and Kim Stanford. Mrs. Stanford-Dykes passed away in her home on December 18, 2024. Megan grew up in Sulphur but farmed in Egan with her Dad. She loved fishing, traveling, and going to the beach with her family all while making memories. 

Megan leaves behind to cherish her memory are her wife, Dani’ Jo Dykes; one daughter, Macaida-Lynn Grace; parents, Alex, II and Kim Stanford; siblings, Arthur Lowery, Alexis Schmidt (Travis); her grandmother, Gloria Laughlin; nieces and nephews, Neal, Paisley, Wesley; her aunts and uncles; and her best friend of 20 years, Jaydean Deville and her children, Jerake, Jerrick and Jaycee and morgan Unser. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alex and Marie Stanford and maternal grandfather, Lloyd Laughlin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 4-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Sulphur for Megan. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
