Melissa Allen Jeffers, 39, of Sulphur, LA passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at her residence.

 

Mrs. Jeffers was born on February 18, 1978 to Jeanne and Walter Allen. She grew up in Sulphur, LA and attended Sulphur High School. She spent her spare time taking care of her family and her pets. She loved decorating cakes and cooking. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make her family laugh. Mrs. Jeffers would have done anything for her beloved children and her “adopted children” that would come to visit. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart and her kind soul.

 

She is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Jeffers; three children, Kelsea Allen, Caleb Langley, and Kyle Langley; father, Walter L. Allen; sisters, Shannon Allen LeDoux and husband Richie and their children, Joshua and Haily, and Danielle Allen Ray and husband Chris and their children Paris and Gus; brother, Barry Butler and wife Debra and their children, Amber and Alex; other loved ones, Jennifer Zimmerman and her children Nick and Gabe, and Jean Strobel Earley and husband Frank; as well as her loved dogs, Zip, Cheyenne, Blue and Zoey; and her beloved granddog, Cortez.

 

Mrs. Jeffers is preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne Allen; sister, Laurie Butler, and a close friend, William Doug Roberts.

 

There will be a graveside service for Mrs. Jeffers on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate. Visitation will begin on Wednesday afternoon at Johnson Funeral Home at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 8:00 AM until 9:30 PM.
