Melissa Gwen Grabowski

Melissa Gwen Grabowski was called to be in the presence of our Lord on September 9, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur, LA and a 1978 Graduate of Sulphur High School. All who met her noted her warm accepting smile and how she made everyone feel like family. Melissa enjoyed life, loved spending time with her children and playing with her grandchildren. She also took great joy in gardening, cooking with Bobby and cheering with friends as she watched the Saints and LSU football games. Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Marie Ball and Edward and Connie Grabowski SR. and her precious granddaughter, Melissa Kathleen Dowers. Melissa is survived by her parents, Edward and Patsy (Ball) Grabowski Jr. of Sulphur; her fianc, Bobby Ray Phillips, of Sulphur; her three little 'birds' Sara Lognion, Roxanne Reinhardt and husband Thomas, Drew Lognion, and fianc Carly Faul all of Sulphur; and 12 adoring grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Michael Grabowski; two sisters, Julie Grabowski, finance Jody McKelvy and Kathryn Erbelding and husband, Wallace all of Sulphur, 9 nieces and nephews, many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and her loyal dog Lollie Pop. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Burke officiating. Burial will be in Royer Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of the service.
