Melony Spain

Melony Renee Fontenot Spain, 50, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2016 in a local hospital surrounded by her family.  Melony was a native of Kinder.  Melony was a loving mother, grandmother, and daughter. Melony recently gave her life to the Lord.  She never met a stranger and she was Mama Mel to her “adopted” kids and family.  Melony was a hard worker always.  

Melony is survived by one daughter, Nikki Ford and fiancé Billy Boatman; one son, John Raven; her grandchildren, Danny Abshire, Gavin Sullivan, Emma Ranee, Ezra Raven, and Kyden Ewalt; her mom, Bernadine Abshire; two brothers, Dwayne Fontenot and Donald Fontenot, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.  Melony is preceded in death by her father, Donald Fontenot, Sr., her stepfather, Charles Fernandez, and one brother, Danny Fontenot. 

Services for Melony will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 1 pm at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Weishampel officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery.
