Mercedese Marie Mayeux

Mercedese Marie Ducote Mayeux, 81, of Lake Charles passed away, Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Mayeux was a native of Cottonport, La and lived in Lake Charles since 1976. She was a homemaker most of her life and retired from the Calcasieu Parish Sherriff's Department after many years of service. Mrs. Mayeux was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Chantal Reina and husband Johnny; three sons, Jimmy Mayeux and wife Laurie, Anthony Paul Mayeux, Jr. and wife Dollie, and Lenny Mayeux and wife Nicole; six grandchildren and one sister, Linda Bouzigard. She is preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, Anthony Paul "Tony" Mayeux, Sr. Her Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend Ruben Buller will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM, and will continue from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Monday, in the funeral home.
