Michael Alfred Crewell

Michael Alfred Crewell, 61, of Lake Charles passed away, Wednesday, February 4, 2015 in a Lafayette hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and a graduate of Lake Charles High School. Mr. Crewell was a member of IBEW Local 861 for twenty years. Michael was a fisherman's FISHERMAN!!!, and a great lover of all things outdoors. One of his greatest joys was watching "his boys" in all their sporting events. He was well known for his great sense of humor and was a friend to all who needed a helping hand. Survivors include his three sons, Joshua Michael Ward of Lake Charles, Dustin Ryan Crewell and wife Candice of Prairieville, LA, and Dylan Michael Crewell of Moss Bluff; three grandchildren, Caden Ryan, Dayton Ray, and Braven Michael; four sisters, Kathy Crewell Adam, Frankie Lynn Crewell Timmons and husband John Wayne, Ruby Crewell Robinson and husband Mike, and Wallice Crewell; one half brother, Douglas Rydalch and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Douglas F. Crewell and Nelva (McDaniel) Crewell, and a granddaughter, Carlie Rae Crewell. His family invites you to join us in a memorial service being held Sunday, February 8, at 2:00 PM, with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 11 AM at Johnson Funeral Home.
