Michael David Kohl

Michael David Kohl, 58, of Lake Charles, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 in a local health care facility.

Mr. Kohl was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a 1977 graduate of Barbe High School and attended Sowela Technical College. He retired from A & R Pipeline in Grand Chenier where he was a Dispatcher. Mr. Kohl enjoyed watching old movies, westerns and most importantly, the Dallas Cowboys. His greatest times were spent fishing and camping with his son, family and friends. He also enjoyed the time he shared with his son visiting museums, art exhibits and historical displays. He loved to entertain, children loved him and his quirky sense of humor will always be remembered.

He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Aaron Michael Kohl of Lake Charles; two sisters, Theresa Conner and Marsha Cosby, both of Grand Lake and his former wife and friend, Laura Bearden of Lake Charles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Dorothy Garrison Kohl; a sister, Ramona Bergeron and a brother, David Arnold Kohl.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend John Black will officiate. Interment will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation Wednesday will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
