Micheal Wayne Lovelady, 59, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the comfort of his home.
Mr. Lovelady served in the Infantry in the United States Army. He worked most of his life in the construction industry for local contractors and refineries. During his younger years, he enjoyed leading his sons, Cub Scout and Boy Scout troops. Mr. Lovelady was an avid outdoorsman, taught Hunter Education through Wildlife and Fisheries and loved hunting and fishing.
He leaves to honor his memory, two sons, Michael W. J. Lovelady and wife Dawn of Kingston, TN and Robert O. Dunaway, Jr. and wife Crystal of Sulphur, LA; one daughter, Necia P. Dunaway of Lake Charles, LA; seven grandchildren, Caytlnn Lovelady, Elesionna Lovelady, Jasmin Lovelady, Meckeal Inman, Dixie Timms, Shanta Dunaway, and Dakota Dunaway; and nine siblings, Georgia Ellison of West Plains, MO, Gladys Brashear of Melbourne, AR, Melissa Auxier of Liberal, MO, Rob Counts of St. Joseph, MO, John Shreve of Liberal, MO, Cindy Briggs of Lagrange, MO, Steve Tolate, Jim and John.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Wayne and Beatrice "Bea" Lovelady, and two brothers, Billy Ray Shreve and Clyde S. Shreve.
Graveside Military Services will be at 2:30 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
