Michael Dwain Gill

Michael Dwain Gill, 60, of Longville passed away at 9:08 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Longville, LA.

Mr. Gill was born in Kinder on January 15, 1957 and was raised in Moss Bluff. He then moved to the Ragley/Longville area to raise his children.

He was a free spirit who enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson. Mr. Gill was an avid hunter and fisherman who passed these traits on to his son and grandsons who will continue his legacy.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Summer Gill Menard (Justin) of Moss Bluff; son, Travis Gill of Lake Charles; father, James Gill, Jr. of Moss Bluff; two sisters, Debi Milburn (Joe) and Tena Williams (Moose) all of Moss Bluff; four grandchildren, Hunter Gill, and Colton, Aubree, and Bryce Menard; and an abundance of relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanella Gill and a granddaughter, Brynn Menard.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Bart Leger will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
