Michael Eugene Nugent

Michael Eugene Nugent, 74, of Gillis, died Wednesday December 31, 2014 in the comfort of his home. Michael was a native of Alexandria and was a long time resident of Lake Charles. He honorably and dutifully served our country in the United States Air Force. Michael retired as a shift supervisor with SASOL and also retired from Advanced Auto Parts. Preceding Michael in death are his parents, Vernel and Arnette Nugent, beloved wife, Mary Cooley Nugent; daughters, Belinda Hagan Preston; Stacy Nugent Matschke, Michelle Nugent Ida, Pamela Nugent Forneris, all of California; sister, Joanne Cormier and brother, Tyler Nugent. Those left to cherish his memories are two sons, Bradley James Hagan and wife Karen and Maurice Eugene Nugent, both of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Brandon Hagan and wife Brandie, Alicia Hagan Gary and husband Derrick, Drake Nugent, Kade Nugent, Cory Hagen & wife Leah, T.J. Monceaux, Michall Preston and Ryan Preston; great grandchildren, Benjamin, Brycelyn, Michaela, Gracyn and Charlee Hagan as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be on Monday January 5, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at Hopewell Cemetery in Dry Creek.
