Michael Gene James

Michael Gene James, 21, died Saturday, October 19, 2013. Born in Modesto, California to Vicky James, Michael graduated from Barbe High School and lived most of his life in the Lake Charles area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being around his cousins. His love for the outdoors allowed him to be a great volunteer for countless causes. Michael worked at O'charley's Restaurant for three years. Survivors include his mother, Vicky James of Lake Charles; sister, Ashley James of Sulphur; grandparents, Judy and Michael Sackett of Lake Charles, Michael James of Stark, Florida; aunts, Rebecca Moss of Lake Charles, Michelle Sackett of Lake Charles, and Erin Sackett of Groveland, California; Nephews, Dallas and Christopher James of Lake Charles; Cousins, Hunter and Blake Moss of Lake Charles, Jordan Pointdexter of Lake Charles, Damion , Miracle Gomez of Lake Charles, and Cyrena Grace of Groveland, California. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 12:00 PM in Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM Until time of services. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
