Michael James Ardoin

Michael J. Ardoin of Lake Charles passed away on July 12, 2014 at the age of 64. He was in lumber sales for many years, was a pipeline inspector, a member of the American Welders Society, a Mason, and also involved in the Shriners organization. He loved his family and had a zest for life, living it to the fullest. He enjoyed fishing, cooking at the family hunting camp, traveling, dancing to Cajun music, and celebrating Mardi Gras. He will be greatly loved and missed by his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his children Richie Hungerford (wife Sheila) of Lake Charles, Shane Hungerford (wife Jessica) of Longville, and Michael T. Ardoin (wife Andrea) of Jackson; grandchildren Matthew Hungerford, Whitney Hungerford, Alexis Lewis, Kain Hungerford, Parys Sumpter, Madison Ardoin, and Kristin Hungerford; 4 great-grandchildren; and sisters Barbara Alston and Marjorie Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents Sabay and Hadley Ardoin and siblings Allen Ardoin, Harrison Ardoin, James Ardoin, and Dennis Ardoin. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 15 at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake Street) from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, July 16 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
