Michael James Schley

Michael James Schley, 52, of Sulphur passed away on July 8, 2018 in a local hospital. Michael enjoyed movies, watching his geese for hours, and visiting with family and friends.  Michael will always be remembered for his compassion and love.  He helped anyone who needed a friend.  Michael had a heart so large life could not compare.   He was an excellent listener who often gave advice and showed patience.  He was very selfless and always put others before himself. 

Michael is survived by his wife, of eight years, Stefanie Schley of Sulphur; son, Scottie Schley Carrier; step daughter, Brianna Cryer; step son, Timothy Cryer; mother, Geraldine LeJeune; siblings, Cheryl (Randolph) Landry, Sherain (Cecil) McClelland, Letty Breaux, Carol Schley, Venus (Brett) Spencer, Jessica Cobb, Theresa Burchell, Ferrall (Rachael) LeBleu, Mark Schley, Stephen Schley, Michael Cobb and Ronald Cobb; best friends, Birtha and Frank Duhon; long life friends, Sherry Deaton and Jake Sittig; step mothers, Evelyn Schley and Virginia Arlene Gibson; brother in law, Leroy Brooks; sister in law, Vicki Anderson; nephews, Jacob and Lindsey Brooks; and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leland Schley; two brothers, Joe Anderson and Jimmy Anderson; and one brother in law, Sam Breaux, Sr.

A memorial service for Michael will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 2 PM at Open Door Biker Church in Sulphur.  Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
