Michael Keith Bond passed on to his eternal life Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 65 following a lengthy illness. Michael was a graduate of Marion High School and McNeese State University. He served our country in the Navy during Vietnam. He worked for F & F Wireline Services and later as an automated systems technician offshore for Mobil Oil Company from which he retired. Michael loved activities involving the outdoors such as camping, hunting, and fishing. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Patricia Poland Bond of Moss Bluff; daughters Melinda Bond of Denham Springs, and Jennifer Marie Allen (husband Richard) of Denham Springs; grandchildren, Jason & Bobby Nichols, Chey & Dylan Cast, & Ashley Allen; great-grandchildren, Addison, Ryan, & Peyton Nichols; mother Sadie Miller Bond of Lake Charles; and siblings, Steven Bond and Pamela Menke both of Lake Charles. He was preceded in death by his father, J. L. Bond. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake St. in Lake Charles) on Friday, August 8 from 10 am with a Rosary at 11:00 am with the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm officiated by Rev. Herbert May.
