Michael Lynn Kyle

Michael Lynn Kyle, 76, passed away on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021. Thirty-Three years after his father passed on Palm Sunday in 1988.

Michael and his twin brother Mitchell, were New Year’s Babies in 1945. They were born in Crowley, LA and raised in Hackberry. He graduated from Hackberry High School and attended Wharton Jr. College and McNeese State University. Michael worked in the Oil Industry and loved it. He started working at the age of 19 and worked until 2005. He worked in South Louisiana, East Texas, South America, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Nigeria, and Mumbai, India.

Michael loved high school and college basketball and football. Michael and Mitchell played basketball in high school and in college. He made lasting friendships throughout his entire life. He and his family lived in Singapore and Jakarta, Indonesia. Michael also lived in Mumbai, India for a few years where his wife spent some time with him.

Michael is survived by his wife, lacking one month shy of 56 years, Elvie Jean Peshoff Kyle; three children, Don Michael Kyle of Sulphur, LA, Dani Lynn Kyle of Sulphur, LA, and Jeanie Darlene Kyle of Gardnerville, NV; five grandchildren;a very special granddaughter that he and Jean raised, Jocelyn Kyle Dickson and husband, David of Sulphur, LA, Brady “Ty” Tyler Kyle of Lafayette, LA, Jade Micah Ellender and Zack Michael Kyle both of Sulphur, LA and Gabe Thomas Kyle; Twin brother and life long best friend, Mitchell Kyle of Hackberry, LA; two sisters, Florence Kyle of Hackberry, LA and Sally Busby of Sulphur, LA; eleven nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; cousins; friends; and a cat named Parker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Kakkie Kyle; brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Verna Lee Kyle; sister-in-law, Billie Jean Kyle; three brothers-in-law, Harvey Dean Peshoff, John “Buzz”David Busby, and Bernie Jinks.

Michael had just finished painting his first great-granddaughter’s nursery, Avery Kate Dickson who will be born in May. He was also really looking forward to her birth. Michael lived life like he wanted and had a special love for certain people. Some of his nieces and nephews were some of his best friends and he loved them very much. One of those people was his ex son-in-law and very good friend, Chad Ellender.

Michael did not want a funeral, he wanted to be cremated and that is what we are doing. Actually, he did not even want an obituary.

Cremation will be entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
