Michael Lynn Rachal

Michael Lynn Rachal, 70, of Boyce, LA passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014 in a healthcare facility in Alexandria. Mr. Rachal was born in Pineville, LA and has lived most of his life in the Alexandria area. He worked many years as a mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed refurbishing antique furniture, playing bingo and Sunday visits to his sister's kitchen. Mr. Rachal will be greatly missed. He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Michael Ryan Rachal and wife Lisa and two grandchildren, Veronica and Valaree Rachal, all of Lake Charles. He also leaves two sisters, Betty R. Cannon and husband James and Carolyn R. Melder of Coulterville and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lessie Ebert Rachal; one brother, Matthew W. Rachel and a dear friend, Brenda Chapman. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Rachal Cemetery in Marco, LA. Reverend Roger Templeton will officiate. Interment will follow. Visitation Friday will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
