Michael "Mike" Mulvany

November 23, 1944 — March 21, 2022

Michael Wayne “Mike” Mulvany, 77, of Sulphur, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022.

Mike grew up in a military family, living in many different towns. He was a graduate of Lawton High School in Lawton, OK.  He entered into the United States Air Force in 1964, proudly serving his country for 9 years.  He served in Vietnam in 1966-1967 and was a member of the Jolly Green Air Rescue team. In 1983, he and his family moved to Sulphur; Mike began working for ERA Helicopters as a Helicopter Mechanic until he retired in 2007.  He and Beverly loved traveling the United States and Mike loved visiting museums, especially displaying military items. He enjoyed listening to country and western music. His greatest joy was spending time with family.  He will be remembered for his dedication to his family and country.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Beverly Mulvany; three children,  Michelle Burgess and husband Steve of Fayetteville, GA,  Brian Mulvany and wife Lindsey of Sulphur,  and  Rhonda Davidson and husband Darick of Sulphur;  grandchildren, Jonathan  Buongiorne, and  Jennifer Buongiorne and boyfriend Cody Durell, all of Fayetteville, GA; Brian Mulvany and wife Paige, Austin Mulvany,  Madyson Mulvany, and Donovon Davidson all of Sulphur; one great grandson, Emmitt Mulvany; sister, Sharon Witt of Michigan; brother, Larry Mulvany of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Rena Mulvany; and one brother, Sonny Mulvany.

Services honoring Mike will be held 2pm, Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Johnson and Robison Funeral Home of Sulphur. Rev. Marcus Wade will officiate.  Visitation will be 12pm – 2pm Sunday in the funeral home.
