Michael Scott “Miky” LeBlanc, 36, of Baton Rouge passed away at 6:45 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in his residence.
Miky was born on February 8, 1983 in Crowley and lived most of his life in Lake Charles before moving to Lafayette and then Baton Rouge where he was currently living. He was a mill wright with Turner Industries.
He believed in making a difference in the lives of the unfortunate homeless population. Miky was instrumental in recruiting volunteers to assist the homeless as well as finding them food, shelter, and clothing. He was very gifted and had an intense passion for singing and song writing and was an outstanding guitar player. Miky also enjoyed drawing in his free time. He will be remembered for his kind, soft heart and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of crossing Miky’s path.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughters, Abigail and Isabelle; his devoted mother, Brenda Hensley; his loving brothers, Josh LeBlanc and Todd Walker (Ali); and his only special nephew, Austin Walker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Dale LeBlanc (04-13-2019); maternal grandmother, Ruth Sanders; and paternal grandparents, Wilfred and Helena LeBlanc.
A memorial will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Kim Roy will lead the service. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 PM and continue until the start of the service.
