Michael "Shane" Jenkins

Michael “Shane” Jenkins, 50, of Sulphur, passed away in his home on Monday, February 26, 2024. Shane enjoyed watching boxing, MMA, and dancing until dawn. He liked to listen to his favorite music as loud as possible. Shane was a fantastic darts and pool player. He could win almost any arm-wrestling competition and would challenge anyone willing to give it a try. Shane loved nice clothes and looking “so fresh and so clean”. He was an extremely hard worker, and everyone knew you had better jog just to keep up with him. Shane was extremely proud of his accomplishments in becoming a certified welding inspector and most recently was completing a plumbing apprenticeship. Shane prided himself on being a father more than anything and is so proud of his children.

Those left to cherish Shane’s memory are his wife, Shantelle Jenkins; children, Celeste Stemple, Linda Gober, Cainon Jenkins; brother David Jenkins (Cat); sister, Kelli Miller (Arlen); grandchildren, Kalyn Stemple, Jameson Stemple, Damion Gober, Justin Gober; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Shane is preceded in death by his parents, William “Michael” and Linda Sue Jenkins.

Services for Shane will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Christian Life Church of Vinton. Burial, under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home, will follow at Westlake Memorial Gardens with Pastor Don Snider officiating. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 10 AM until time of the service at Christian Life Church of Vinton.
