Michele Mitchem Mallet

Michele "Mickeye" Mitchem Mallet, 70, of Sulphur, died Sunday July 19, 2015 at a local care center after an extended illness. Ms. Mickeye was a life-long resident of Sulphur. She was the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Frances Khoury Mitchem. A 1962 graduate of Sulphur High School, she returned to this school and worked as the secretary for 25 years, retiring in 2007. She was also an active member of Henning United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Mustard Seed Pottery Class. Mickeye also participated with active roles in the Campfire Girls, as a lifeguard at Sulphur Parks and Recreation and with Camp Wi Ta Wentin. She was a very social person, enjoying visits with family and friends and getting to know others. Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her beloved husband of 45 years, John E. Mallet, Sulphur; daughters, Janelle Mallet, Houston and Meredith Head and husband Jason of Vidor, TX. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 22, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Johnson & Robison Funeral Home. A Celebration and Remembrance of Mickeye's life will be at 6:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Mickeye requested that this time be of celebration and thanksgiving and one of happy memories, not one of sadness and sorrow.
