Michelle Cortes

Michelle Cortes, 43, of Lake Charles, LA died in a local care facility surrounded by her loving family.  

Michelle was born on June 3, 1972 in Paterson, NJ to Juan Cortes and Iris Santiago. She loved boxing, crocheting, and being around family and friends. Michelle enjoyed her dogs and working out. She left this world “Undefeated”.  

She is survived by her three children, Courtney Vincent of Lake Charles, LA, Bradley Vincent of Lake Charles, LA, and Matthew Murphy of Lake Charles, LA; one grandson, Aidyn Vincent; one sister, Iris Perez of Lake Charles, LA; one brother, Edward Perez of Lake Charles, LA; mother, Iris Clark of Lake Charles, LA; step father, Roy Clark; aunt, Luz Dugas and fiancé. Roland Thomas.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Juan Cortes; grandmother, Haydee Santiago; and grandfather, Victor Santiago.  

Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park. Rev. Gilbert Brown will officiate services.
