Michelle Jessen Rogers

Michelle Jessen Rogers, 61, of Lake Charles passed away at 6:50 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in her daughter’s residence.

Michelle was born on October 21, 1960 in Lake Charles where she lived all of her life and was a graduate of LaGrange High School.

She was a woman of free spirit, full of energy and a lot of moxie.  Michelle was a beautiful mother to her two children.  She had a deep love for all animals and enjoyed dancing, being outdoors, and photography.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Phillip Jeffrey Tyler (Anna) of Minneapolis, MN and Emilee Ann LaBauve (Ian) of Lake Charles; her mother, Joyce Jessen of Lake Charles; siblings, Sheila Trahan (David) of Houston, TX and Terri Jessen (James Bergeron) of Richmond, TX; grandchildren, William LaSalle, Saddie Sonnier, Miles LaBauve, Eisley Taverna, Leo Tyler, and Adalyne Tyler; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Emile Benny Jessen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 21, 2022 at University Baptist Church.  A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM until the start of the service.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
