Mike "Speedy" Edward Chesson

Mike Speedy Chesson, 43, of Vinton, passed away on October 20, 2011 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Mother Petroula Ruehlen officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, LA. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 4-9p.m in Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Saturday at 9a.m. until time of service. Mike was a native and lifelong resident of Vinton, LA. He was a graduate of Vinton High School where he was an avid sports fan. Mike is survived by his daughter; Ashley Simon of Opelousas, LA, father and step-mother; John and Diane Chesson of Vinton, mother and step-father; Sylvia and Galen Boutte of Vinton, two sisters; Vanessa Daigle and husband, Mark of Sulphur and Cheri Chesson of Vinton, step-brother; Michael Dwayne Fontenot and wife Nelda of Vinton, two grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
