Mike Stewart

Mike Stewart, 65, passed away on August 6, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Stewart was born to Dayton and Imogene Kennedy Stewart in Burnet, Texas on September 5, 1951. He was Texas born and bred. After completing high school, he went to trade school and became a successful carpenter for over 46 years. He was always willing to help anyone in need and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a master carpenter and loved his job, playing music, shooting pool and last but not least, sports sports sports!

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Kathy Benton Stewart; children, Aaron Michael Stewart, Carly Michelle Stewart Tangedahl, Shawn Patrick Benton, Robin Benton, and Todd Benton; grandchildren, Bailey Tangedahl, Raegan Tangedahl, Landon Tangedahl, Lauren Holcom, Hannah Holcom, Shawn Benton, Carlie McNab, Hayden Landry, Daven Benton, Brookleigh Benton, and Sadie Benton; great grandchildren, Myla Blu Holcom and Hallie Rougeau; brother, Myron Stewart and sister in law, Nancy; brother in law, Ronnie Hagar and sister in law, Liz; sister in law, Sue Ann Soldier Gartman; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Glenn “Pee Wee” Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, “Digger” Stewart; and grandson, Quentin Miller Benton.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
