Mildred A. Jones

Mildred A. Jones, 93, of Lake Charles, LA died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Harbor Hospice Care facility. Mildred was born on July 10, 1922 in Derry, LA to William "Gus" and Bessie McLaren. She loved working for over 40 years as a registered nurse. She enjoyed reading the bible and taking care of her only granddaughter, Deborah. She was a longtime member of Boulevard Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA. She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jones Grafton of Lake Charles, LA and Sandra Jones Noser of Houston, TX; one sister, Dorothy Ray McLaren Ortego of Vinton, LA; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Lou Clark McLaren of Alexandria, LA; granddaughter, Deborah Grafton of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter-in-law, Becky Julian of Big Lake, LA. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis J. Jones; brother, Herman C McLaren; and son, Kerry W. Jones. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate services.
