Mildred Broussard Miller

Mildred (Millie) Broussard Miller, 83, of Iowa died at 7:53 AM on Sunday, March 23, 2014 in a local hospital. Mrs. Miller was born and raised in Lacassine on September 4, 1930. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Lacassine, LA. She devoted much of her time to her grandkids and family. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies for them to enjoy. Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Chris and wife P.J.; four grandchildren, Teresa, Nikolas, Jacob, and Daniel Miller; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Camron, and Kyle all from Iowa. She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Cliff Miller; parents, Alexander "Te-Neg" and Lilia Broussard; two brothers, Calvin and Lloyd Broussard; and two sisters, Grace and Loretta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 28, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roland Vaughn will officiate. Burial will follow in LeFranc Cemetery in Iowa, LA. Visitation will begin on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the rosary at 1:30 PM followed by the service at 2:00 PM.
