Mildred Guidry

Ms. Mildred Guidry was born May 31, 1927, in Opelousas, La to the late Israel "Pete" Guidry and Lillian Johnson Guidry. She departed this life on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Lake Charles, La. She was a native of Opelousas, La and a resident of Lake Charles, La. Mildred was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Mt. Calvary B.C., Pastor E. Garner. She loved her church and the Lord. Mildred worked many years as a cook at Ball's in Lake Charles, La. She was dedicated to her work and proudly boasted about it. Mildred loved her family, friends, and neighbors. Many who loved and cared for her will miss her. Mildred was blessed with one son "Gregory" whom she deeply loved. She leaves to cherish her many memories a son Gregory Guidry of Lake Charles, La. 9 nieces, Sandra, Barbara, Betty, Debra, Peggy, Debbie, Janelle, Shelia and Windy: 9 nephews, Warren, Leon, Willie, Curtis, Sylvester, Darryl, Louis, Kerry and John, numerous cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Israel "Pete" Guidry, and Lillian Johnson Guidry, six sisters Dorothy, Vivian and Virgie Thomas, Bessie Baise, Ella Guidry, and Lula Guidry. Numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Lake Charles, Ronald Johnson, Ms. Victoria, Dr. Carl Ross, and St. Patrick's Hospital.
