Mildred Dorothy Armistead Schreve

Mildred Dorothy Armistead Schreve, 90, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:17 AM on Friday, April 11, 2025 in her residence.

Mrs. Schreve was born on April 18, 1934 in Moss Bluff where she lived most of her life before moving to Lake Charles 4 years ago. She was a strong, independent woman until the very end. Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with each of her children and being surrounded by family. Mrs. Schreve was an active member of two Mahjong clubs and took great pleasure in hosting games in her home, where laughter and camaraderie filled the air.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael McBride (Linda) of Atlanta, GA, Pamela Brown (Kenneth) of Moss Bluff, Lisa Talbot Durand (Rick) of Moss Bluff, and David McBride (John) of Sarasota, FL; a brother, Albert Sidney Armistead (Vada) of Sulphur; grandchildren, Rachel and Anna McBride, Candace White, John Christopher Gray, and Katie Talbot; great grandchildren, Emma and Addyson White and Bryson Gray; and a great great granddaughter, Blakely Mae Guidry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Schreve.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
