Milton D. O'Neal

Milton D. O'Neal of Lake Charles, LA, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015. Milton D. O'Neal was born on March 13, 1930, in Deweyville, TX. He lived most of his life in Lake Charles after graduating from LaGrange High School with the class of 1951. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955. He also worked for Bell South from 1951 until 1991. After retirement he enjoyed reading and doing wood work in his free time. Mr. Milton took pride in the simple things in life like his loving wife and his family. Left to cherish Mr. O'Neal's memory is his son, Bryan Keith O'Neal and wife Sheryl of Port Allen, LA; daughter Kimberly Ann Legnion and husband Kevin, of Lake Charles, LA.; five grandchildren Lance Armentor and wife Samantha, Joshua O'Neal, Clint O'Neal, Nicole Legnion, and Taylor Legnion; two great grand children Relic Armentor, and Sylvia Armentor; brother John O'Neal of Lake Charles, LA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Eugenie "Jean" B. O'Neal; brother Edward O'Neal; and sister Ruby Bourque. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Ronnie Estes will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of the service.
