Milton J. "Mickey" Hebert, 90, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana died peacefully at 2:36 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in a local care facility with his loving family at his side. Mr. Hebert was born in Fenton, Louisiana to the late Amie and John Hebert on January 25, 1924. He attended Landry Memorial High School in Lake Charles. Mr. Hebert has lived in Moss Bluff, LA most of his adult life. He served proudly in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Hebert was a retired Iron Worker and was a life- long member of the Iron Workers Local Number 678. He traveled for 20 years as a Heavy Rigging Superintendent domestic and foreign. Mr. Hebert was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. Mr. Hebert was an avid sportsman; hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes. He loved spending time with all of his family and especially his favorite dog "Daisey". Milton is survived by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy and Yvonne Priola of Moss Bluff, LA, Mr. and Mrs. Sal and Holly Martinez of Spring, TX, Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Becky Abercrombie of Spring, TX, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Hebert is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Mathis Hebert and four brothers; Norman, Wilfred, Wilbert and C.J. Hebert. His funeral will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Burial will be in Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Sunday at 8:00 AM until the time of services.
