Minnie Lee Cline

October 28, 1929 — June 10, 2016

Minnie Lee Turner Cline (Granny), 86, of Westlake, LA, went to be with the Lord on June 10th. Her family was by her side.

 

She is survived by her loving husband, Archie Cline, Jr. of 37 years. It started with a beautiful lady in a green gown, a dance, and a man asking, “Bud, where’d you find that girl?”

 

Lee was a graduate of Fairview High School in Grant, LA. She was a member of Westlake Chapter 228 of the Eastern Star and Calcasieu Chapter #164.  She was a Grand Officer of the Grand Chapter Of The Order Of Eastern Star of Louisiana.  She served as Grand Esther for 1999-2000.  She was also appointed to be Grand Representative of Louisiana and New Mexico and Grand Representative of Texas in Louisiana.  She held many honorary memberships in Texas and Louisiana. She held a Gold Certificate of Proficiency in Eastern Star.  She taught children in Sunday School and worked with senior citizens at church.

 

She is preceded in death by Judson Howard, husband and father of Cynthia Howard Benton; her parents Gilbert and Vernice Turner; her brothers T.G. Turner, Wade Turner, and Donald Turner; and her daughter Myra Cline Puhl.

 

She is also survived by her children: Cynthia Howard Benton and husband Tim, Steven Cline, Andrew Cline and wife Robyn, Pamela Cline Whittington and husband David, Amanda Cline Brake and husband Bob, and Leslie Cline Osgood and husband Danny; her sisters Patricia Badon and Laffel Mahaffey; nineteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

 

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday, June 12th with an Eastern Star Service at 6 p.m.. Funeral services will be at Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake on Monday, June 13th at 10 a.m.. Burial will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Mittie.
