Mitchel Dee Caldwell

Mitchel Dee Caldwell, 87, a resident of Carlyss, passed away on February 5, 2022, in Carrollton, Georgia with his family by his side.  Mitchel enjoyed boating, woodworking, and family reunions.  He loved spending time with his family and extended family, having breakfast at the Pitt Grill, working with and helping family and friends.  Mitchel was a caregiver in every way.  He was on the building committee and served as treasurer at Wesley United Methodist Church.  Mitchel retired from South Central Bell after 43 years of employment.

Mitchel is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Geri; daughter, Connie and husband, Bruce; son, David and wife, Ginger; six grandchildren, Joshua, Becky, Jon, Licia, Jordan and Matthew; five great grandchildren, Sarah, Austin, Haillie, Erica, Monica, and Landry Lynn; brothers, Ritchel (his twin), Deldon, and Ken.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Drew and Nola Belle Caldwell; sons, Terry Michael and Bruce Elliot; and one brother, Drewman Caldwell.

Funeral services for Mitchel will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 1PM at Wesley United Methodist Church with Reverend Sheri Zehner and Pastor Steve Bush officiating.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 8AM-12PM before leaving for the church.
