Monica Lynn Daughenbaughn Benoit

Monica Lynn Daughenbaugh Benoit, 49, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 in a local hospital.


Mrs. Benoit was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, graduate of Barbe High School and attended McNeese State University. An Account Manager for Regions Insurance, she worked twenty years in the Insurance Industry. She was a member of Fairview Methodist Church where she was a Bible School teacher for many years. Mrs. Benoit loved to travel with her husband and girlfriends, escaping on Cruise Ships being her favorite means of travel. She especially enjoyed celebrating her twenty-five year Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii. Mrs. Benoit will be most remembered as a perfectionist and for always taking charge. Her greatest joy was her family as she was a loving and devoted wife and mother.


She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of twenty-seven years, Mark D. Benoit; son, Cody Benoit; mother, Janice Reddoch and husband, Rodney Reddoch; brother, Monty Daughenbaugh and wife Laura; half-brother, Tommy Reddoch and wife Peggy, all of Lake Charles, four brothers-in-law, Greg Benoit and wife Janet of Breaux Bridge, Arnold Benoit and wife Pam of Jennings, Carl Benoit and wife Pat of Lake Charles and Kendall Benoit and wife Tara of Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Donna Gary and husband Lynn and Becky Benoit, both of Jennings; aunt, Helen Vincent of Rosepine and her dearest cousin, Marla Kjerulff and husband Paul of Lake Charles.


She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Leroy Daughenbaugh.


Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM Sunday, February 03, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend David Dewitt will officiate. Interment will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation Saturday will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Sunday from 8:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
