Mukerrem Inci Ergen Glover

Mukerrem Inci Ergen Glover, 83, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge.

Ms. Glover was born November 8, 1939 in Istanbul, Turkey and lived in Lake Charles for most of her life. She worked as a clerk and supervisor for the Army and Air Force Exchange Service, and then for Lake Charles Office Supply and Office Plus. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lake Charles, and loved her church family. She loved cooking, the beach, water coloring, gardening, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She will always be remembered for her kindness and faithfulness to God.

Ms. Glover is survived by her sons, Keenan Glover and wife Allison, of Prairieville, LA and Ernest Glover of Jackson, LA; her grandchildren, Emily Vincent and husband Jacob, Julia Glover, Nicolas Burge and wife Emily and Jacob Burge; her great grandchildren, Welles, Elijah, Mason, and Olivia; the Glovers of Ohio and lifelong friends of the families, Hamilton, Thames, Qualls and Maggio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenan and Neyire Ergen, her daughter, Barbara Glover, great grandchild Beckham and lifelong friends, Earl and Barbara Hamilton and Wendy Thames.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel, located at 4321 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA. Rev. Chan Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday evening, July 21, 2023 at the funeral home, and will resume on Saturday from 12:00 Noon continuing until the start of the service at 2:00 PM.
