Murray Rideau

Murray J. Rideau 69 departed this life on Sunday, May 12, 2013.

A lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana he was a graduate of W.O. Boston High School. Murray served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed by A T T for 17 years and later Nortel until his retirement. Murray was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fontenot Rideau of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two sons, Michael Rideau of San Mateo, Ca. and Derek Rideau of Lake Charles, La.; mother, Elmira Rideau of Lake Charles, La.; two sisters, Ruby Rideau of Houston, Tx. and Gwendolyn Hardy of Sulphur, La.; four brothers, Roger Rideau of Houston, Tx., Matthew Rideau, Donald Rideau, and Joseph Rideau Jr. of Lake Charles, La. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Rideau Sr.

His funeral will be at 3:00pm Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2013 6:00pm-9:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 6:30pm.
