Myra Dardeau Guillory

March 17, 1927 — January 28, 2015

Marie Myra Dardeau Guillory, 87, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015, in her residence, with her loving family at her side. Born in St. Landry, Louisiana, to Clovis and Christina Maude Tate Dardeau, Mrs. Guillory lived most of her life in Lake Charles. She owned and operated Kiddie Coral, a nursery and daycare center, for twelve years. She was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where she taught Catechism when her children were young and participated in the church Bible study. Mrs. Guillory enjoyed crafts, reading, gardening, and fishing, especially with her husband. Her greatest joy was found in taking care of her family and making a Godly home for them. Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Kenneth Guillory and companion Fredia Morein, Dennis Guillory and wife Jan, Randy Guillory and wife Pam, all of Lake Charles, and Richard Guillory and wife Robin of Kinder; three daughters, Christena Parker and husband David of Moss Bluff, Renee' Crow and fiancé Dwight Markham of Baton Rouge, and Dorine Campsey and husband R.C. of Keller, Texas; dearly loved God-children, Linda and Tommy Cassell; two brothers, C. J. Dardeau and wife Clarice and Dale Dardeau and wife Rita, both of Ville Platte; three sisters, Annetta Juneau and companion James Manuel of Ville Platte, Hope Landreneau of Mamou and Joyce Comeaux of Lafayette; twenty-five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Mrs. Guillory was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 53 years, Elridge Guillory; brothers, Ray Martin Dardeau, John Isom Dardeau and Dr. Winston Dardeau; and sisters, Rose Mae Doucet, Beryl Jean Young, George Ann Hosman, and Louella Briley. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Msgr. James Gaddy will officiate. Interment will be at Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time, with a rosary to be recited at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the compassionate care given their beloved mother to her very special angel, Fredia Morein, and to Amedysis Hospice, in particular her nurse, Ashley, and her aide, Liz.
