Myrtis Jane Buras

Myrtis Jane Buras, 80, of Lake Charles, died Friday May 24, 2013 at a local hospital after an extended illness.

Mrs. Buras was a native of Grand Chenier and lived Venice for most of her adult life and moved to Lake Charles in 1985. She was a retired salesperson for WalMart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Buras and two sons, Perry and Lawrence Buras. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are two brothers, Hester Broussard, Venice and Arthur Broussard, Jr., Church Point; two sisters, Annie Miller, Grand Lake; and Ima Guidry, Lake Charles and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Louviere officiating. Burial will follow in DeRidder Cemetery beside her husband and two sons.
